6.2.1 assemble sensor (BcSs-PICNIW-2000)
Step 1 - measure the cranial circumference
With a measuring tape, measure the largest circumference of the patient's head, the most prominent part at the back of the head (occipital) and just above the eyebrows (supraorbital ridges).
Step 2 - choose the correct headband
Choose the single headband position 1 and 2 according to the table bellow
Size | Head circumferences |
Position 1 | 16 7/8 - 21 5/8 in (43 - 55 cm) |
Position 2 | 20 7/8 - 25 5/8 in (53 - 65 cm) |
TIP - Most adults will use the sensor in position 2.
Step 3 - attach the headband to the sensor
The final assembly of the headband is done by attaching it to the sensor.
