The B4C System includes four key components that are part of the brain4care subscription:
Sensor Kit: Captures the intracranial pressure (ICP) pulse. Available in two models: BcSs-PICNIW-1000 and BcSs-PICNIW-2000. An optional receiver, model BcAc-DG-1000, is also available.
Mobile App: Acts as a communication bridge between the sensor and the portal. It also provides real-time visualization of the ICP pulse morphology.
Portal: Manages user authentication, authorization, and report viewing.
Data Analysis System: Processes the captured ICP waveform.
The noninvasive sensor (models BcSs-PICNIW-1000 or BcSs-PICNIW-2000) monitors the intracranial pressure (ICP) waveform and transmits the data to the BcAc-DG-1000 module or the brain4care mobile app via Bluetooth.
BcAc-DG-1000 Dongle: This receiver connects to the invasive pressure input (APB) of a multiparameter monitor, displaying the ICP pulse morphology directly on the monitor.
Brain4care Mobile App: Available for tablets or smartphones, this app serves as a bridge between the BcSs-PICNIW-1000 sensor and the cloud system. It also receives and displays the generated report.
