  • Personal Account: The private and secure environment linked to any individual registered to the portal.

  • Corporate Account: The private and secure environment created for a legal entity which has licensed the B4C System.

  • User ID: A unique portal identity created for each registered individual. In the US the user ID is the SSN.

  • Organization: A unique portal entity created for each registered client (hospital/clinic), i.e., corporate account.

  • Organization Member: A portal user who has been linked to an organization/corporate account.

  • Access Profile: A set of authorizations granted to a member of an organization.

  • Organizational unit: A subdivision of an organization where members can be grouped.

  • Applications: Functional portal modules. Some applications are universal; others are restricted to members of organizations that  have certain access profiles. 

  • Notifications: Portal-generated messages that are posted in the notification area of each personal or corporate account. 

  • Protocol or UMI: This is a unique identifier generated for each monitoring session performed by a healthcare professional. 

  • Devices: These are the devices used for monitoring. Existing types are: sensor, external sensor battery, and receiver (dongle) for multi parameter monitors. 

  • UID or UDI: This is a device’s unique identifier (unique ID = UID or unit ID = UDI). Each sensor, external battery and receiver have their unique identifier. It is used on each protocol (first six digits of an UMI)

  • No labels
