6.2.1 BcSs-PICNIW-2000 sensor

Step 1 - measure the cranial circumference

With a measuring tape, measure the largest circumference of the patient's head, the most prominent part at the back of the head (occipital) and just above the eyebrows (supraorbital ridges).

Step 2 - choose the correct headband

Choose the single headband position 1 and 2 according to the table bellow

Position 1

16 7/8 - 21 5/8 in

Position 2

20 7/8 - 25 5/8 in

TIP - Most adults will use the sensor in position 2.

Step 3 - attach the headband to the sensor

The final assembly of the headband is done by attaching it to the sensor.

6.2.2 BcSs-PICNIW-1000 sensor

Adult and pediatric one-size-fits-all headbands

Step 1 - measure the cranial circumference

With a measuring tape, measure the largest circumference of the patient's head, that is, the most prominent part at the back of the head (occipital) and just above the eyebrows (supraorbital ridges).

Step 2 - choose the correct headband stripe

According to the measured head circumference, choose between headband 1 and 2 according to table bellow. If you cannot find the desired size, follow procedure 6.2.4, with the extra tape provided
