To disinfect the sensor, generously apply 70% ethanol alcohol to a sterilized gauze and gently wipe each component of the sensor with the gauze, ensuring even coverage. Allow the sensor to air dry completely before reuse.

ATTENTION - Do NOT sterilize in an autoclave, as this will damage the equipment.

ATTENTION - Do NOT press the pin on the green base of the BcSs-PICNIW-1000 sensor, as this could damage the sensor.

Step 1 - turn off sensor

Before starting, ensure the sensor is turned off by checking that the power switch is set to “O”.

Step 4 - let it dry

Wait for the components to dry for a few minutes before storing them in the storage case. Disinfection should be performed before and after each monitoring session to prevent contamination. Proper disinfection is crucial to avoid the risk of contamination from inadequately cleaned components.

ATTENTION - Disinfect the sensor and headband with 70% ethanol alcohol, or other agents as per your healthcare facility’s disinfection protocols, before and after each use on patients.
