Turn on the sensor by sliding the power switch located on the side of the sensor to the “I” position, according to Figure 6.3.1 Make sure the key has reached its maximum glide path. As soon as the sensor is turned on the status LED will flash blue.

ATTENTION - If the switch is not in its final position, the internal pin protector may interfere with adequate pin movement, decreasing sensor sensitivity, or even causing misreadings.

You can display the sensor waveform by connecting the mobile application (see section 6.5), the receiver (see section 6.6) or both. Monitoring with the mobile application makes it possible to view and send data to the brain4care cloud system, thus generating a report with parameters to aid in diagnosis. Monitoring with the receiver (if licensed) enables visualization of the sensor waveform on a multiparameter patient monitor. If the mobile application is not paired in parallel, it will not be possible to generate a monitoring session report.
